TO PREPARE MOUNTAIN BLEND:

Hot Mountain Blend
Mountain Blend can be consumed "black" (or in this case "RED") or one can add milk and/or sugar or honey. We suggest that you try it first without any sweeteners, as they will detract from the teas natural delicate sweet taste.

  • Bring water to a boil.
  • Let the tea steep (infuse) for at least 5 minutes to allow flavors to be released.
  • Use one tea bag per cup.

Iced Mountain Blend
How To Prepare Africa's Miracle! Iced Mountain Blend

Prepare the same way as for Hot tea i.e. with boiling water. For a “bar size” beer pitcher, we suggest you use about 4 to 6 teabags, depending on your taste preference. After you have filled the (plastic!) pitcher with boiling water, let it cool down for a while, then cover (seal) and place in the refrigerator overnight, leaving the tea bags in. The next morning you will have a pitcher of delicious Iced Mountain Blend. If kept covered (sealed), the Iced Mountain Blend will stay fresh for up to 5 days. The tea bags can be left in the pitcher for the duration, as the low tannins ensure that there is no bitter after taste. When serving you can mix the Iced Mountain Blend with a dash of fresh fruit juice or add a slice of fresh orange or lemon for some variety. For a little "schpritz", you can add some soda water or sparkling mineral water to the Mountain blend/juice mix. Experiment with Mountain Blend:juice ratios to find the mix you like.

Storing dry Mountain Blend tea bags
Store Mountain Blend in a cool and dry place. Once you have opened the foil inner pack, store in an airtight container or in a "zip" plastic bag.
